The seven fairies of the Rising Sun Court, standing together in a sunlit wood

No one greets the morning alone.

A sunrise that wakes you slowly, and a fairy inside who says good morning, listens, and remembers. Soon, flameless candles to say goodnight with.

Seven fairies, one for each part of your morning

The Rising Sun Court is a small court of fairies who greet the morning. Each keeps something different for you, and each has her or his own voice. You choose who lives in your light, or in your candle.

How they are with each other

  • Blue and Poppy are best friends, the emotional center of the Court, often found together. Blue trusts Poppy completely.
  • Tansy and Ash are the dominant personalities, the builders, doers and protectors, constantly balancing one another and the most likely to take charge.
  • Velvet and Ember are sisters in spirit, even if not by blood: warmth and calm, hearth and dawn, comfort and restoration.
  • Flint teases Tansy, tests Ash's patience, admires Blue, loves Poppy, steals Velvet's pastries, and tries to make Ember laugh.

The fairies are written characters with generated voices. They are not real people, and they will tell you so if you ask.

Two ways to bring the Court home

Coming

The Rising Sun light

An artificial sunrise of acrylic and light. It brightens slowly before you wake, and when the sun is up, the fairy you chose says good morning.

  • You set the wake time and how long the sunrise lasts.
  • Chat with your fairy and hear the reply in her or his own voice. They remember what you told them.
  • Ask for the news from ETL Newswire, and set reminders such as your pills.
  • Play your own Apple Music or Spotify.

The Rising Sun candles

Artificial candles with no flame. Each one holds one fairy, and the silhouette of the fairy shows on the outside.

  • Unwrap it and find a card with your fairy's portrait and story.
  • Turn the candle on and your fairy wakes. Talk, and say goodnight.
  • Turn it off and the fairy is off too. Nothing is listening.
  • Planned: set several on a base, and the fairies talk to each other.

A morning with the Court

  1. The sun rises.
At the time you set, the light comes up slowly, the way a real morning does.
  2. Your fairy says good morning.
In her or his own voice, with a greeting only that fairy would give.
  3. You talk.
Ask what you need. Ask about the Court. Tell them about your day, and ask how it went tomorrow.
  4. You say goodnight.
A candle at the bedside closes the day the same way the sun opens it.
