This uses your camera to put them in front of it, right on your own screen.
Nothing is recorded, uploaded, or sent anywhere. It stays on this device, live, the whole time.
This one is cut out automatically, on your device, so the edges are rougher than a hand-made one.
Replies are spoken out loud, in their real voice, which uses more of your credits than typing does.
Want to bring this companion onto a Zoom or Teams call with other people?
In OBS, add a Display Capture source, not a "Browser" source.
A Browser source cannot get permission to use your camera. Point it at whichever
monitor will show this page.
Come back here and turn the camera on, full screen, on that monitor.
In OBS, click Start Virtual Camera.
In Zoom or Teams, open your camera settings and choose
OBS Virtual Camera instead of your real one.
Turn off "blur my background" or any beauty filter in the call app. It
cannot tell your real background from the companion, and will blur them both.
Two monitors makes this much easier: keep the call on one and this page full screen
on the other, so you can still see and use the call. With one monitor, you will need
to switch back and forth between them.
